Eulji Twin Tower
The Eulji Twin Towers sought to preserve the old streets of Seunji District. The goal was to achieve harmonious coexistence by overlapping the old and the new in connection with pedestrian paths and public open space. Pedestrian-centered buffer green space and low-rise wall greening suited to human scale provide a three-dimensional green space to city pedestrians. The colorful louver plan on the facade reduces the load on the building, serves as a sunshade, and enhances the urban aesthetic of form. The diagonally segmented mass alleviates the intimidation of the large building. Thermal bridge areas were minimized through curtain wall insulation performance simulation, 28T low-e double-layer glass and high-efficiency insulation materials were applied, and the building's energy consumption was reduced by producing renewable energy through BIPV.
